Expanding Business Value Through Pollution Prevention & Sustainable Practices

The overall purpose of this free conference was to foster more sustainable business practices in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands among the manufacturing and tourism sectors. By providing a forum for the exchange of ideas on pollution prevention tools, projects, and practices, the conference sponsors hoped to drive for the improved environmental performance and economic vitality of participating companies.

Conference Goals:

  • Give businesses practical measures they can implement to green their business while saving money
  • Share experiences from industry leaders about how they overcame institutional barriers to change
  • Ensure the health and economic vitality of local communities by improving environmental performance

Continuing Education Credits:

The Institute of Chemical Engineers of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico (IIQ-CIAPR) has approved the workshop for 11.25 contact hour credits.
