About the Mercury Reduction Program

NEWMOA's Mercury Reduction Program supports state mercury reduction initiatives. The information resources available in the mercury area of the NEWMOA website are designed to help the NEWMOA and IMERC-member states achieve their "virtual elimination" goal for mercury by focusing on efforts to reduce or eliminate mercury from the waste stream.
