The webinar was presented for informational purposes. The views expressed do not necesssaily reflect those of each of the NEWMOA-member states, and the strategies and technologies discussed should not be considered an endorsement by NEWMOA or its members.

The webinar included a presentation from Derek Pizarro & Bill Brab, AST Environmental [PDF]

The presentation described how to succinctly characterize a fractured bedrock site to design an injection program. The main difference between this Remedial Design Characterization (RDC) approach and conventional bedrock investigation is the use of Bedrock Characterization and Injection Points (BCIP), which allow concise investigation and increased radius of influence (ROI) and distribution in the formation via fractures, features, discontinuities, secondary porosities, and other subsurface pathways that are either typically under-characterized or overlooked for traditional injection operations.
